Boxed and Framed - wzór dziewiarski - cyfrowy plik PDF
“Boxed and Framed” is the cleaner-line version of “Boxed and Cabled” for those who prefer a straightforward look. This pattern lets the yarn stand out without deflecting from the stitch definition with too much texture or decorative elements. You still won’t be bored when knitting it because the interesting construction makes up very well for the lack of stitch patterns!
Solenn (De Rerum Natura) liked the construction of my “Boxed and Cabled” cardigan so much, she sketched her own version for a simpler, more streamlined version of it, and asked me to write a pattern from her hand-drawn sketch, which is exactly what I did! I followed her suggestions to the last dot, and this is what came out of this collaboration:
A pattern sketched by Solenn (De Rerum Natura), who know best how to highlight their yarns.
Implemented by myself, who knows how to turn a construction idea into a garment that will work.
Tested by my proven pool of test knitters, who know best what fits their actual body shape, in a wide size range.
“Boxed and Framed” is worked in back-and-forth rows, starting from a provisional cast-on in the Back, beginning with a horizontal chain, after which the triangular shape of the back is created using German short rows, and the garment continued top down to the armholes. Later, stitches for both fronts are picked up, and after another horizontal chain, the fronts are worked down to the underarm where both fronts and the back are joined and continued in one piece to the hem.
This versatile cardigan will accompany you from morning coffee through a day at the office to an evening at the opera. Thanks to its minimalist shape, it can complement a variety of different wardrobe items, from cropped jeans or wide-leg linen pants over mini skirts or shorts to elegant A-line or sheath column dresses.

When the body has been completed, sleeve stitches are picked up around the armholes and worked in rounds from the top down.
Cable panels are charted only.

Julka Cardi - digital knitting pattern - PDF
“Julka Cardigan” is a seamless overlapping-front cardigan with a feminine touch, interesting slanted shoulder construction, elbow-length sleeves and a delicate lace pattern on the Fronts.
The garment is worked from the top down, starting at the back with a long-tail cast-on. First, the Back is shaped with short rows to create a slanted shoulder line, then the stitches of the Back are worked down to the armhole, and placed on hold. Now, stitches for the Fronts are picked up one row in from the cast-on edge for an imitated shoulder “seam” look, and worked to the armhole, where the parts are joined and worked together down to the hem, which is finished with an i-cord edge. When the body is completed, sleeve stitches are picked up around the armholes, the sleeves are worked in the round to an elbow length, and likewise finished with applied i-cord edging.
Back and sleeves are worked in stockinette stitch, the fronts in a lace pattern. Instructions for the lace pattern are charted and also completely written out.
“Julka” is the perfect cardigan for those hot summer days, to be paired with sleeveless dresses or T-shirt and shorts for a casually-elegant, but always feminine look. Make one in a cotton or linen blend to take out to the beach and boardwalk café, and another in your favorite glossy yarn to complement your evening dress. Smoother yarns with a clear stitch definition and careful blocking will bring out the best in the lace pattern.

All Aligned - digital knitting pattern - PDF
“All Aligned” is a seamless top-down cardigan with raglan shaping and lots of texture.
Open-front cardigans are my favorite because they are so versatile! For this one, I used a yarn by Julia Asselin which had beckoned from my stash for a while. I especially like its color. In this cardigan, I combined it with an extra lace strand in a similar colorway, which gives it just the right amount of heaviness.
Increases and decreases are cleverly hidden in the simple texture pattern with clear brioche lines. Due to the brioche, this stitch pattern is rather yarn-consuming – make sure you have enough for the whole garment!
All shaping is charted, and the main stitch is also written out row by row.

Boxigan - digital knitting pattern - PDF
Boxigan (“boxy cardigan, as you might have guessed”) is worked seamlessly from the top down.
The laid-back design has been kept as streamlined as possible, with stockinette stitch only occasionally broken up by subtle eyelet columns, as well as knit braids at the cuffs and edges – just enough to be recognized as hand knit by insiders!
Work starts at the back with a long-tail cast-on, after which the Back stitches are worked down to the armhole and placed on hold. Stitches for the Front are picked up one row in from the cast-on edge for an imitated shoulder “seam” look.
Especially important for boxy-look garments, Front and Back neckline as well as sleeve caps are shaped with German Short Rows for a proper fit.
Thanks to detailed explanations about special techniques used (with links to explanatory videos) this uncomplicated garment can be worked even by courageous beginners. Featuring 12 sizes in a size range from XS1 to 4XL, this garment is truly for inclusive. The pattern is fully written out and contains no charts.

Soft Flow - digital knitting pattern - PDF
“Soft Flow” cardigan is worked seamlessly from the top down.
Starting with a wide shawl collar, from which sts for the body are cast on, it is knit top down to the underarm where sleeves and body are separated. First, the body is knit all the way down to the mid-thigh hem, then the sleeves are worked in the round. Pockets are added at the end.
This cardigan features a modified raglan shaping with an especially elegant shoulder line.
Knitting with two strands of different yarns – a blend of alpaca held together with kid mohair – makes this a super cozy garment. Its streamlined, softly flowing design is ready to be combined with any accessory from your scarf or jewelry collection, and goes well with various wardrobe pieces in a variety of styles.

From Way Back - digital knitting pattern - PDF
The idea for this garment had been in my head for quite some time until it had matured to perfection. Since its classic shape and sophisticated design details, such as bottom ribbing and button band in sync with the back pattern rhythm and button spacing, also look timeless enough to fit in with any period style, I thought “From Way Back” was just the right name for it!
The cardigan is worked top-down – of course, as usual, seamless – and, despite its intricate looks, not at all complicated to knit. The lace pattern repeat is fully written out and charted at the same time, and raglan increases are charted for the full range of sizes as well.
Whether planned with zero ease, or with just enough of negative ease to fit snugly, this cardigan goes well with everything from jeans to various dress styles. Knit it from luxury fiber topped with artisan fasteners to complement your favorite silk dress, or from repurposed yarn with mismatched buttons, sewn on in different thread colors, to upgrade a pair of cutoff denims.

Anthro - digital knitting pattern - PDF
“Anthro” is an elegant cardigan worked from the top down completely seamless. Its timeless design was inspired by the beauty of Anthropologie sweaters and features set-in sleeves with a cable detail, double-knit cuffs and hem in a contrasting color and a button band with rhythmic button sequence.
Fitting is achieved through a cleverly placed cable motif in the back, completely eliminating the need for waist shaping, while short row shaping is used for the back neckline and the shoulder slopes. Bust darts are optional for those who prefer the comfortable fit of additional ease in the chest area.
Worked in a delicate, extra light and airy yarn like the one used for the sample cardigan, this garment will make a pleasant addition to your summer outfits, or use a slightly more substantial material to create a warmer jacket. Whatever your fiber choices will be – solids, light heathers and demi-solids will work best to show off the cables, and matching the hidden contrasting color of cuffs and hem to existing wardrobe pieces will show your great sense of style!

Little (Splash of) Petrichor - digital knitting pattern - PDF
This cardigan evolved after I had published my “Get the Picture” hat featuring the same stitch, resulting in a lot of inquiries for sweaters from people who were fond of the stitch pattern (as far as I remember, I think I must have found this stitch pattern on one of those free-stitch-pattern-websites, but I am not 100% sure any more). Subsequently, I decided to make one for myself to see how this would work out.
I wanted it to be a simple, classic open cardigan with raglan sleeves and pockets hidden within the hem - something comfortable and wearable made from beautiful yarn, the kind of sweater you can slip into when you go for a walk in the park with your kids - but at the same time, unique enough so you won’t be lost in the crowd if the kids come looking for you.
And that was how the adult sized “Petrichor” came to life.
This cardigan is knit top down, absolutely seamlessly (even the pockets are joined to the hem as you work them up), with extra waist shaping on the back.
To make it easier to knit, all raglan increases are charted for all sizes.

Fortitude - digital knitting pattern - PDF
Sometimes, life throws a curve ball or two when you least expect it, rendering all plans null and void. When this happens, we all have the inner fortitude to take that ball and throw it back at the universe. Designed with those tough times in mind, “Fortitude” makes a moderately easy project when you want to knit something but can’t fathom doing complicated lace or cables.
Knit from the top down, “Fortitude” has a classic shape with fun stripe details on the sleeves. Its design combines two different knitting methods: traditional saddle shoulders and contiguous sleeves after the method developed by SusieM. It is also absolutely seamless! Even the hidden pockets are attached as you work the short-row-shaping for the lapel!
The fronts are held together by two buttons with a thread shank for an extra stylish look.
The pattern provides sizing from XS to 2X (30” to 48”) with a full schematic and measurements. The sweater shown was created using Rowan Felted Tweed DK in two lovely grays. Use your favorite DK weight yarn, in any color combination, at a gauge of 22 sts and 26 rows per 4 inches to show some “Fortitude”.

Endearment - digital knitting pattern - PDF
“Endearment” is a romantic, delicate and very feminine cardigan, looking equally flattering over a light summer dress or paired with your favorite jeans.
Worn open or buttoned, it is visually slimming by way of combining Hanna’s signature entirely seamless construction with just the right amount of added waist shaping, eliminating bulk in unwanted areas.
The intricate cable and lace pattern over the fronts looks much more complicated than it actually is, but is easy to knit, especially since it is all charted.
Longer hems and cuffs with decorative splits, a novelty for Hanna’s style, are sure to please everyone looking for “that special extra” in a new cardigan!

Laelia is a beautiful subtropical orchid with petals that fan out into stars.
This cardigan showcases that same quality with lace that fans out into graceful petal shapes. Both charts and written instructions are included for the lace sections.

Girly Pink, Spring! - digital knitting pattern - PDF
Girly Pink Spring is a girly version of adult Spring is Pink cardigan.
It is a classically shaped cardigan knit seamlessly from the top down with simultaneously set in sleeves.
As with most of my cardigans, Girly Pink Spring is knit top down, completely seamlessly with set in sleeves knitted simultaneously with the body. First, you knit a few rows of the back, then carefully pick up the provisional cast on stitches at the shoulders and work a few rows of each front. At that point you pick up stitches along the tops of the armholes, and then join all pieces together to work the front, sleeves, and back simultaneously. The armholes are shaped with increases as you continue knitting down. All the upper sections are worked simultaneously until it is time to separate the sleeves stitches from the body, then you work body and sleeves independently.
